What Is CBD?

The Difference Between Full-Spectrum CBD, Broad Spectrum CBD & CBD Isolate
It’s essential to know the CBD type inside your product of choice. There are three types of CBD: full spectrum, broad spectrum, and CBD isolate.
At the beginning of our extraction process, the first kind of CBD we make is full spectrum CBD. This CBD carries the hemp plant’s full cannabinoid profile and aromatic properties, including the plant’s terpenes and flavonoids. Terpenes give the plant its taste and smell, while flavonoids create its colour. But these two compounds also come with their own therapeutic effects, too.**
It’s important to note that most true full-spectrum CBD products are prohibited in the UK. Our laws state a CBD product must have less than 0.2% THC. Even with hemp’s naturally low THC levels (less than 0.3%), full-spectrum CBD can have too much THC to stay within the bounds of the law.
But, if we strip THC molecules down to undetectable levels, we make broad-spectrum CBD. This CBD still has the plant’s terpenes, flavonoids, and non-THC cannabinoids.
The last type of CBD we can make is CBD isolate. This CBD is 99% cannabidiol and contains no additional organic compounds like terpenes or flavonoids.
