CBD Capsules and CBD Pills
Not all CBD is created equal. Our CBD capsules are made from start to finish with purity, potency, and quality in mind. We use hemp extract (CBD); so unlike some companies who just use a portion of the cannabis plant, these capsules provide the whole range of compounds that naturally exist within the hemp plant.
The hemp oil found in our CBD pills is derived from high-quality hemp grown in Kentucky, USA. No harmful chemicals. No random ingredients. Just all-natural capsules of the highest quality that give you access to the full power of hemp.
What Are CBD Capsules?
While there are many different types of products containing CBD (cannabidiol) on the market, CBD capsules are quickly becoming one of the most popular due to their small, convenient size, and the fact that they’re easy to take. Familiar to those who already take a food supplement such as vitamin C, olive oil, or fish oil, CBD capsules are a great addition to any vitamin regimen if you’re in need of a little extra calm.
CBD Capsules also don’t require a servings chart. Simply take 1-2 per day with food and you’re ready to go. In this way, each capsule has been carefully formulated to contain the exact amount of active CBD that you need for a lasting wellness. If you’re looking for a no-mess, no-fuss CBD product, CBD capsules are an excellent morning—and night—companion.
Thanks to the minimal THC amount in CBD capsules, you won’t experience the infamous “high” that’s commonly associated with marijuana. This means that there are no intoxicating ingredients present in our CBD Gelcaps, and though the hemp seed oil we use comes from the same plant family as marijuana, by law our CBD products don’t contain an active amount of THC when it comes to dosing.
As a result, CBD Capsules, by design, cannot impair you, making them a great addition to your day without the worry of losing control.
What’s the Difference Between CBD Capsules and CBD Pills?
Fortunately, there is no difference between CBD capsules and CBD pills. They are effectively synonyms of each other. However, the terms “soft gels,” “gel caps,” or “gel capsules” refer to a specific type of CBD capsule.
While capsules can differ in formulations (i.e. CBD Soft Gel Capsules can be made with gelatin for easier dissolving) compared to hard capsules or pills, both iterations contain CBD. And in the case of our CBD Morning Capsules, they both contain additional active ingredients and are vegan, unlike soft gel capsules (more on that later).
How Do We Make Our CBD Oil Capsules?
Although there are plenty of CBD brands making CBD gel capsules, CBDfx has become a market leader in a relatively short amount of time due to a variety of reasons. You can find lots of CBD capsules for sale, but the truth is that not all CBD capsules are created equal.
And quality is our highest virtue.
Here’s a quick look at our process...
First our crops are selected by a leading expert in hemp. They’re pesticide-free and non-GMO to make sure your CBD hasn’t been exposed to any types of harmful pesticides, heavy metals, solvents, or chemicals commonly found in less CBD products.
Special Note: The reason we do this is that hemp is pretty absorbent. That means it can—and will—take in all the nutrients around it. And if the soil around it has been contaminated with pesticides or other chemical residue, it could put the quality of your product at risk. At CBDfx, we cannot accept that lack of quality control, which is why from seed to sale, we ensure everything that goes into your CBD product is as pure as possible.
Once we separate the “good” plants from the “best” we leverage a specialised extraction process that utilises CO2 extraction. Why do we use this process? Because it’s one of the absolute best extraction methods to draw out highly-purified CBD in one of the cleanest and most gentle ways in the industry.
Okay, once the highly-purified hemp extract has been extracted, now what?
Now, we combine it with the other ingredients of your favourite CBDfx products—which we craft with the utmost quality and integrity in mind—and quality assured under American Current Good Manufacturing Practises (cGMP). This means that the facilities we use to produce our products are monitored under some of the strictest clinical-grade standards and supervisions in the industry.
After their creation, our products are given rigorous lab tests for the slightest imperfections and impurities. This is done at a third-party lab and if we find any test results out of the ordinary, we’ll toss the entire batch out and start over. And for additional peace of mind, each of our products is tagged with a traceable QR code.
This means all you need to do to know everything about your product is to take out your phone’s camera and point. The link that pops up will take you to the exact batch report for the product you’re using along with all the base ingredients inside of it—you’ll also know where and when it was made.
We also allow our customers to leave reviews using a standard star rating system so that customers can see whether our products are truly effective.
Unfortunately, the CBD industry has been a gold rush for many would-be companies looking to enter the market and make a quick buck. However, CBDfx has been in this space for nearly a decade, which means we like to do this by the books, and without cutting corners to ensure you get the best quality product every time.
With only a few countries in the world producing industrial-grade hemp at the quality and scope required to produce effective and beneficial products, we’re proud to say our hemp is grown in the state of Kentucky within the United States.
At CBDfx, we understand the role that what we put into our bodies has on giving us physical and mental health benefits. We take that role seriously, and it’s why we take such incredible steps to ensure a consistent and high-quality wellness experience you can count on.
Different Types of CBD Oil
During the extraction process of CBD, the hemp plants we use are effectively pulverised into a thick, goopy oil containing all the plants natural cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential nutrients.
Once extracted, the pure CBD is combined with a carrier oil to help bind it. The carrier oil we use here at CBDfx is coconut oil-derived medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). The oil itself is naturally vegan, and holds its own host of benefits including helpful fatty acids, healthy weight loss, better heart health, and better energy production.
When the CBD is separated and paired with the MCT oil, depending on what’s in it, the oil will be separated into three distinct CBD concentrations but only two are available in the United Kingdom:
This type of CBD is used in our Morning Capsules, Soft Gel Capsules, tinctures and more..This type of CBD is also used in our CBD vape juices and skincare products. Although the amount of THC in CBD Isolate isn’t absolute zero, it is effectively undetectable.
What Are the Benefits of CBD Pills?
Okay, now that you know the differing types of CBD oil, it’s time to dive into the benefits of CBD pills.
The Upsides and Downsides of CBD Pills
To start with the pros, CBD pills are convenient—they’re also vegan in the case of our Morning Capsules. With our CBD Capsules (750 &1500mg) you can simply take one or two pills to get a full day’s serving of CBD that’s designed to bring calming relief throughout the day.
However, the downside of CBD pills is that they require a certain level of commitment once you consume them. Since the CBD will enter your bloodstream through your stomach, once their shells begin to dissolve and activate, you’ll be feeling the full effects of your CBD for as long as they last.
This is largely beneficial, but for those who wish to be in their usual state of mind prior to an event, class, or work, they'll be unable to combat the effects of the CBD.
Are CBD Capsules Vegan?
Yes, our CBD + CBG Morning Capsules are vegan, as well as gluten-free. Not only do these capsules utilise non-GMO and CO2-extracted cannabinoid oils, and additional ingredients that are completely vegan, but their outer casing is vegan, too.
By eschewing the common soft gel form of CBD capsules—which use animal by-products in its gelatin—we’ve created an effective capsule to last you throughout the day.
Always ethically made, our CBD capsules are perfect for any diet.
What Is Bioavailability?
Bioavailability is a term that describes the potency of a substance by its ability to be absorbed into the bloodstream. And it’s important to note that different CBD products have varying levels of bioavailability.
For example, CBD tinctures are considered to have a high level of bioavailability because the oil enters your bloodstream easily underneath the tissue of your tongue.
To contrast this, CBD topicals have a lower level of bioavailability due to the fact that they need to pass through the upper layer of your skin in order to enter your bloodstream.
Once the CBD makes it to the bloodstream and reaches your body’s endocannabinoid system, it sends out a series of signals to the receptors in your brain. These receptors—the CB1 and CB2 receptors—then begin to code certain physiological reactions in the body that produce the wellness benefits users of CBD have come to appreciate.
What About Terpenes?
We mentioned these above but terpenes are effectively aromatic flavonoids that are found naturally in a wide variety of organic materials (fruit rinds, flowers, tree bark, essential oils, etc.). The benefit of terpenes is that not only do these helpful little chemicals affect the taste of your CBD products, but can produce their own physiological effects through aromatherapy.
When combined with the natural benefits of CBD, this can mean a sense of layered-functionality, where both CBD and terpenes are working together to pronounce certain benefits in the body.
Today, there are more than 200 known terpene compounds found in Cannabis plants, and more than 20,000 terpenes overall.
Here’s a quick look at some of the top terpenes used in CBD...
Limonene is a terpene that can be found in a variety of citrus fruits. It can enhance your CBD experience by helping to increase the overall absorption level of other terpenes as well.
Found in pine, eucalyptus, orange peels, and rosemary, Pinene has been used through the centuries as a natural anti-inflammatory; dating back to ancient Chinese medicine.
Linalool can be found in soft, flowering plants like lavender and chamomile, which can produce a calming sensation via its aromatic qualities.
Humulene is found in hops, sage, basil, echinacea, ginger—giving them all a robust smell.
How Are CBD Capsules Absorbed into the Body?
There are a variety of methods for how CBD reaches the bloodstream and interacts once inside the body.
Here are a few of the classic methods of taking CBD...
This method of absorption comes from eating or consuming your CBD via a food (like a CBD gummy). The benefit of this method of absorption is that you get the full effects of the CBD as it becomes completely absorbed into your digestive system. It also lasts the longest among CBD absorption methods. The downside, however, is that once you’ve consumed the CBD oil, you can’t “un-consume” it, and you’ll feel the effects of it for the next several hours.
CBD topicals are CBD creams, CBD foot masks, and other rub-on uses of CBD. The way these methods work is that they penetrate layers of the skin to relieve inflammation and in some cases minor aches and pains. The benefit of CBD topicals is their familiarity with the user. Most people have used lotion or some other body cream for purposes of moisturisation or muscle fatigue. Similarly, CBD topicals operate in a similar manner while providing additional benefits found only in CBD.
For many experienced CBD users, this is one of the more traditional methods of consuming CBD. Oral consumption typically takes the form of drops from a CBD tincture. The benefit of this method is that it can also be fast-activating—though not as fast as CBD vaping. Simple and versatile, CBD oil tinctures can be a great addition to any smoothie or drink, while still providing maximum body absorption.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, vaping combines the taste of your favourite candies and foods with the fast-acting benefits of CBD. In this way, it’s difficult to resist the charms of a good vape juice. Add in the fact that you have more control over the length of your CBD benefits’ effects and you’ve got a great recipe for quick AND lasting wellness.
Here are a few of our CBD Capsules to get you started...
Original CBD Soft Gel Capsules!
Packed with rich CBD oil, our original Soft Gel Capsules contain 25 or 50mg servings of CBD oil. Emphasising convenience and simplicity, simply take 1-2 pills per morning and ride the effects the rest of the day.
Getting a daily dose of calm has never been easier with the power of CBD at your fingertips. Add this bottle of high-quality capsules to your vitamin regimen and enjoy your CBD the old-fashioned way.
We've also added coconut-derived MCT oil to each capsule as an added bonus to provide you with the vital nutrients your body needs—nutrients that some studies have shown may increase the CBD’s bioavailability.
Here are a few benefits to keep in mind...
Take One and You’re Done
Unlike any other form of CBD, our Soft Gels are the easiest to take. Designed to deliver the benefits of CBD throughout the day in ONE easy serving, all you need to do is take a few for lasting wellness.
Say Goodbye to Measuring
Tinctures aren’t for everyone, and eyeing an oil dropper every morning can feel a lot like science class. Thankfully, our Soft Gel capsules servings contain 25mg or 50mg of high-quality CBD oil to make getting your day’s CBD easier than ever.
A perfect pairing at breakfast, our vegan CBD + CBG Morning Capsules will give you all the energy and focus you need to seize the day.
With CBD that’s CO2-extracted, our Morning Capsules are designed to bring you all the benefits of CBD (improved mental and physical calm) and CBG (greater alertness and energy), along with the much-desired “entourage effect.”
The “entourage effect” is an instance where various cannabinoids work in tandem to generate more pronounced benefits in the body.
These capsules are also coupled with energising-boosting, slow-release caffeine and the amino acid, L-Tyrosine, for heightened physical energy and focus for your day.
Here’s a closer look at what’s inside...
What Is CBG Oil?
Appearing naturally in hemp, you can find CBG at a ratio of 1:20 (CBG/CBD). That means you’ll need 20X the amount of hemp harvested to produce one part CBG. As a result, it’s fair to say that CBG, otherwise known as “The Mother Cannabinoid” is pretty rare compared to the amount of CBD available. However, combining both the properties of CBD oil and the super-enhancing benefits of CBG, the latter works to interact directly with the brain's receptors to produce the Entourage Effect and enhance your overall wellness benefits.
Other benefits include...
For an added dose of morning pep, our Morning Capsules include extended-release caffeine designed to provide stable, consistent energy throughout the day.
Known for its ability to improve concentration in mentally-intensive tasks like work or study, L-Tyrosine is a helpful amino acid that’s known to improve cognitive performance without the crash.

What’s The Difference Between CBD Capsules Vs. CBD Oil?
CBD pills vs. oil is the ultimate debate. Should you order a bottle of CBD pills and get used to taking those like you would a daily supplement, or is it better to get in the habit of using CBD oil (tincture) that's a little more versatile in its applications and more flavourful? In the end, taking CBD daily is about finding the delivery method that works best for your existing lifestyle. After all, most people feel that they get the best possible benefit from taking CBD when they use it every single day -- and if you're not used to taking CBD pills, you might forget to take them and defeat the whole purpose. On the other hand, if you don't enjoy the taste of CBD tincture that much, you might find it hard to use CBD oil consistently, and CBD capsules might actually be better for you. Besides some minor differences in the way your body absorbs what you take in from vaping versus ingesting, the main difference between CBD capsules and CBD oil is going to be personal preference. Some people want to really bask in their CBD, and may prefer to have a luxurious, flavoured vaping experience while they get their helping of the compound. Others want to treat CBD as just another gel capsule they take as part of their daily routine; and so for those people, CBD capsules are the most convenient.
How Do I Know What Dosage To Take?
First thing’s first: check the label to ensure you understand how much CBD is in each capsule. For example, our flagship CBD pill product contains 25mg to 50mg of active CBD in each serving. Many customers start with taking just one CBD pill to see how it affects them, and then increase the amount from there as necessary. Everyone is looking for different things from their CBD experience, so it may take a little bit of experimentation to find the ideal serving for your unique desires and goals. The FSA recommends that you consume no more than 70mg of CBD in a 24 hour period.
I Know There Are Lots Of Ways To Get The Benefits Of CBD. Why Should I Try These Capsules?
It’s true. CBD comes in various forms for consumer use. Some people try a variety of delivery methods, from tinctures to vape pens to drinks and creams, sometimes alternating depending on the situation. And many are finding they especially love the price and convenience of CBD pills.
How Are These CBD Pills Better Than Other CBD Pills?
Many people have tried other brands before trying CBDfx capsules – and, not coincidentally, these are the people who tend to be our biggest fans. For instance, Mary H. says, “I’ve tried many different brands of CBD capsules and I love these the most. They’re super effective and convenient. Thank you for this wonderful product!”
Does It Matter If I Take The Gel Capsules With Or Without Food?
CBDfx softgels may be taken with or without food, at any time of the day. Your best bet is to experiment and find what works best for your unique body chemistry.
Is It OK To Mix These Capsules With Other CBDfx Products?
Yes, it's perfectly fine to combine CBD pills with topicals, vape products, or even additional ingestibles. In fact, many people report they achieve the maximum lifestyle benefit from CBD use when they combine multiple forms of CBD throughout the day. The FSA recommends that you consume no more than 70mg of CBD in a 24 hour period.
What’s The Right Dosage?
Given the differences in body size, goals and metabolisms there’s no perfect serving that works for everyone. Many people start by taking just one CBD pill daily to see how it affects them, and then adjust accordingly afterward. Our CBDfx capsules contain 25mg of active CBD in each capsule. Find out what amount works best for you. The FSA recommends that you consume no more than 70mg of CBD in a 24 hour period.
